Terms of use

These terms cover everyone who uses wordof: guests who book, agents who share apartments, and shortlet managers who offer them. By using the platform you agree to them.

Bookings and payment

Every booking is for one apartment, a check-in date and a check-out date. You pay through Paystack. Your money is held safely until you check in and the check-in is confirmed. After that it goes to the manager and, where an agent made the sale, to the agent.

Service fee

A guest service fee is added on top of the stay and shown before you pay. It covers payment processing and running the platform. The service fee is non-refundable.

Cancellations and refunds

Refunds follow our Refund policy. Problems with a stay are handled by the shortlet manager through "Something's wrong" on your check-in card.

Agents

Agents only share apartments that verified managers have opened to them. They must complete BVN verification before they can sell, and they may not add more than the platform's margin cap.

Managers

Managers must give accurate details about price, power, water and house rules, and keep their calendar up to date. Payouts need a verified business and a payout bank account.
